Trust in the process isn't.
Online event ticketing has scaled fast in India and globally but scale hasn't fixed the friction that shows up inside a single session, even on platforms where checkout never leaves the app.

Why deos the gap still exist?
The failure isn't platform switching. BookMyShow keeps the entire transaction in-app. The failure is structural, and it occurs within a single session. Cost disclosure is deferred to late funnel stages through stacked convenience and handling fees, or demand indexed dynamic pricing. Transaction volume has scaled faster than session level trust architecture.

Planet’s onboarding experience is designed to be fast, friendly and engaging. Users get an overview of the app and set preferences to land in a custom event feed.

The app offers more than one way to create an account. Users can either sign up using an email or connect Planet with Google, Meta or Apple ID.
Quick authorization lets users login using email and social media accounts.
Email verification is optional and it protects users’ account.
personalization & preferences
Users begin by setting their location to receive hyper local event recommendations. They proceed to choosing their inetests. This step tailors the app’s content to make sure users see the most relevant events.
Planet allows to use the current location or choose from the most popular destinations in other cities.
Sharing interests helps the app recommend more personalized events based on users’ preferences.

Choosing a section has never been easier. Select by price range or the placement of the seats.
The user can review and edit their tickets before moving to the payment page.
The event page provides all the important information needed to make an informed decision to the users.
Various payment methods allow users to choose according to their convenience. Payments are fast and secure.

Users can access both used and active tickets under the “Tickets” tab. Active tickets have a barcode that the event venue will scan to allow entry.
profile & settings
users have complete control over their profile. They can change their name, profile picture and also choose their preferred mode of payment.
what i learnt
Planet started as a way to fix a booking flow. It ended as a way to think about trust as a design material that the product has to earn, screen by screen.
